The Lawns by Dr Vaughan treatment schedule is based on research and years of experience in central Virginia. We have inquiries for a “cheaper/basic” package. However, there is only one treatment plan. Lawns by Dr Vaughan knows what products, amounts, frequency, and timing will work to ensure a weed free healthy lawn.
There are some grasses that can become established (perennial) in your lawn that are considered undesirable. This is the common list of undesirable perennial grasses:
Wiregrass (Bermuda grass)
Rough Stalk Bluegrass (Poa Trivialis)
Dallisgrass (Paspalum dilitatum)
Canada bluegrass/Quackgrass (Poa Compressa)
Orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata)
Broomsedge (Andropogon virginicus)
These undesirable grasses are not considered “weeds” by Lawns by Dr Vaughan. Many times these undesirable grasses were pre-existing and require a complete lawn renovation (Roundup, aerate/reseed) to manage. With realistic expectations, we can develop a plan for your lawn to minimize, suppress, manage, and/or eliminate. If you ever feel that the yard is not looking is not up to par, PLEASE CONTACT US AND WE WILL ADDRESS IT. If it is a matter of applying more products, we will make additional applications at no charge as long as the grass is not cut too short and proper watering is being maintained.
